About Online Quran Recitation Course
The Quran recitation course is designed for all Muslims regardless of age, gender or previous knowledge in the Quran. It has three different levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. These levels focus on covering students’ needs with the help of personalised study plans.
It is a foundation course for any Muslim who wishes to attain fluency in Quranic tajweed, Quran recitation, attain an ijazah certificate, memorise the Holy Quran, or master tajweed.
This course is designed with the aim of giving a personalised experience to all the students of Siraat Mustaqeem Institute and to outdo the traditional classroom method. We provide interactive live sessions to ensure each student receives personal attention and remains focused throughout the course.
Why Take the Quran Recitation Program?

The difference between correct and incorrect recitation
For example, in the verse
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
”Surely this is a reminder for whoever has a ˹mindful˺ Heart and lends an attentive ear”.
(Al-Quran 50:37)
The word here is “Qalb” (قلب), which means heart. If it is mispronounced as “Kalb” (كلب), it means dog. A small change in pronunciation completely changes the meaning of the word, and this shows how precise Quran recitation needs to be.

Course Prerequisites
Students are required to pass a basic Tajweed test or complete the Noorani Qaida course to enrol in the Quran Recitation Course.
However, we are open to all learners. Students with no prior knowledge or only a basic understanding will first be enrolled in our Quran Foundation Course.
